Bhaukaal is coming to the big screen. After three blockbuster seasons on Amazon Prime Video, the most talked-about crime drama in Indian streaming history is officially becoming a movie. The official teaser of Mirzapur Movie dropped today, and the internet has already gone crazy.

Mirzapur Movie Release Date
Mirzapur Movie will hit cinemas on September 4, 2026 — right on the Janmashtami holiday weekend. Big holiday + big film = massive opening day. The film will release in Hindi and Telugu.
Mirzapur Movie Story
This is not Season 4. The story of Mirzapur Movie is set in 2018, the same year the first season of the show originally released. Think of it as the cinematic version of how it all began — the same world, same power game, but on a much bigger scale.
Kaleen Bhaiya is worried that Munna is not the right heir to his throne, while the Pandit brothers are ready to take down Munna’s empire and prove themselves as the kings of Mirzapur.
Mirzapur Movie Cast
The OGs are all back. Pankaj Tripathi returns as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Shweta Tripathi as Golu Gupta, and Abhishek Banerjee as Compounder. Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chadha are also returning.
And yes — Divyenndu is back as Munna Bhaiya, whose death in Season 2 had left fans completely shocked.
Two new additions — Jitendra Kumar has replaced Vikrant Massey as Bablu, and Ravi Kishan plays a new gangster character. Sonal Chauhan and Sushant Singh have also joined the franchise.
Mirzapur Teaser
The teaser opens with atmospheric shots of Purvanchal — deserted roads, political rallies, armed gangs, and blood-soaked clashes. The scale feels much bigger than the web series, with high production values and an unmistakably cinematic feel.
It starts with Kaleen Bhaiya performing a puja, making it clear he is still ruling Mirzapur. The teaser does not reveal the full plot but gives you exactly enough to lose sleep over it.
