According to the Abbotsford Police Department, the shooting took place around 11 PM in the 2500 block of McCallum Road. A dark-coloured SUV drove up and fired multiple shots at a vehicle linked to Ammy Virk’s concert team.
Media reports from Canada and India state that at least seven bullets hit the targeted vehicle. Reports also suggest that the vehicle was bulletproof, which prevented a major tragedy. While some initial news claimed that Ammy Virk and his promoter were inside the convoy, the police have not officially confirmed who was in the vehicle during the gunfire.

Ammy Virk’s Father Confirms He is Safe
To clear the confusion and comfort worried fans, Ammy Virk’s father, Kuljit Singh, shared an update from Punjab. He confirmed that the singer is absolutely safe. He explained that the bullets were not fired directly at Ammy’s personal car, but at a vehicle belonging to the event management and organising party.
Burning SUV Found Near the Crime Scene
Just a few blocks away from the shooting spot, police found a dark SUV on fire on Sunnyside Place. The vehicle was completely destroyed by the flames.
The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit has taken over the case. Officers are treating this as a targeted attack and are investigating if the burning SUV belongs to the shooters. The police have requested local residents and drivers who were in the area to share any dashcam footage or information that could help catch the suspects.
